A message from John Chapman.
Here is my yearly call to see who is interested in representing PSUK at Bisley during the Imperial Meeting. Last year we had to pull out of the Parting Shot due to lack of people to make up the team. I know I can hear you say; Why should I go all that way just for one day even if all but my travelling expenses are paid for? If last year is a gauge then sooner or later the PSUK will drop two good competitions from its calendar. Please ask yourselves, do you love your sport? Do you enjoy competing?
The dates are, Thursday 11th July The Opening Shot for a team of 4 plus coach, 2 x 15 over 900 and 1000 yards.
The Parting Shot Saturday 20th July team of 5 plus coach 2 x 15 at 500 yards.
Please let me know your response as soon as possible in order for me to enter the teams and not lose entry money.
Looking forward to a huge response.
The Championships will take place at the Jubilee Range, Glen Tilt, Blair Atholl, Perthshire, on Wednesday 5th June and Thursday 6th June 2013.
Below are the full joining instructions. Please take note of the time restrictions for shooting. This has been introduced as on occasions the competition has overrun or even reduced to allowed completion of the championships. This will be enforced and will likely increase the enjoyment for all shooters overall.
Please also take note of the 20 mph speed restrictions of the estate roads as complaints have been received in the past.
Good weather has apparently been booked for this very pituresque venue
